Kathmandu is a new video slot by MicroGaming. It is not available in the Viper casinos yet, but will be added to the various casinos on the 28th of February 2006. Kathmandu is a new 9 line video slot themed around the mythical city of Kathmandu in Nepal. This becomes evident when you look at the symbols used in the video slot as these represent temples, prayer wheels and bells. Kathmandu has two wild symbols (one is only active during the bonus game) and a scatter sign. Next to that the slot also has a free spins game and a gamble feature.

Kathmandu accepts coin varying from $0.01 to $0.25. The game can be played with 1 to 20 coins per payline. The jackpot is worth 6,000 coins which means that you can win up to $30,000 (6,000 x 20 coins x $0.25) in a regular game, but if this combination of 5 Wild Prayer Wheel symbols lines up in a free spins game this can go up to $150,000 with a 5x Mystery multiplier.

The Free Spins game is activated when 3 to 5 Scatter Bell symbols show on the reels. You receive 15 free spins, each at the same value as the spin that initiated the game. Gamble feature

Like many other video slots Kathmandu too has a gamble feature. On any win you get the option to gamble with your winnings. You can do so by clicking on the Gamble button at the bottom of the screen. You then are taken to a new screen where you are asked to predict what the next card will be. You can gamble on either the color of the next card (prize is doubled if you guessed correctly) or the suit of the next card (prize is quadrupled if you were right). Once you have made your selection the card is drawn and when you were lucky you double of quadruple your winnings, or you were unlucky and loose it all. As long as you guess correct you can play the gamble game to double or quadruple your winnings. However, there is a gamble limit of 10,000 coins.
